The path of universal subtle integration is evasive.
The minds and moods of people are always changing.
Be courageous and single-minded.
Move only along the central path of balance.' This guidance enabled me to follow the great source of all light which is the central path of all people at all times. One of the greatest of the ancient developed ones once said, 'It is possible for people to walk over sharp knives and burning coals, yet they cannot maintain harmony and balance in their daily lives.' The central path is difficult to tread; rather than exert self-discipline and consistent effort to make real progress in spiritual growth, people madly devote themselves to faulty teachings of by-paths.
"The central path is not meant for those who are emotionally troubled or depressed or self-degraded. It values only the original spirit of those who are innocent, pure and self-aware; they alone can handle the affairs of life in a virtuous manner. The spirit of these 'ever-young' ones is expressed by their unobstructability and joyfulness. They relate their individual lives to the greatness of universal life and nature: the sun and moon, the constellations, the stars, and all the galaxies. In this way, one opens himself to the magnificent profundity of the universe and recognizes that all life is one life, all times but a single second, all space one particle, and all events inseparable in the whole of universal oneness.
"Everything in the universe – the sun, the moon, the earth and all the heavenly bodies – moves and has a constant route. How can a person expect to stay in a narrow, emotional cocoon and maintain a condition that is irrelevant to the rest of existence? Either you move with the world or you will be moved by it and pushed out of your own channel and path of life. The natural direction of all lives is one of self-evolution from an unconscious to a conscious level, from a shorter life-cycle to a longer one, from being controlled externally to developing self-control, from coarseness to subtlety, and from bondage to the physical environment to control over the supernatural. This development is only a myth, however, to those who negatively or passively wait for the wheel of physical nature to grind over them as they re-enter the cycle of life, like a blind donkey endlessly pushing a mill-wheel."
The lady thanked everyone and said, "May those who are on spiritual crutches walk again. May people who are spiritually chained be set free. May the followers of all by-paths return to the central path and restore their natural joy of life again. May the spiritually ignorant find their self-nature and follow it. May everyone receive the guidance of the Great Path of One Truth."
The white-haired sage had been sitting in deep and silent contemplation throughout the meeting, but when the Great One asked his guidance, the old gentleman rose gracefully and said with profound serenity:
